Early peoples created Myths, when they could not explain how or why things happened. Traditional historians rely on man's written & drawn records to interpret past progress & myths. Archaeologists' science & artifacts form the basis of our knowledge of prehistorical civilizations, most of which seem to be in Africa, Europe, & Asia. We don't know much about ancient cultures here in North America, but we need to.

After Gerrit van Honthorst (Utrecht 1590-Utrecht 1656) Creation Date: c.1630-50 Acquired with other historical portraits in 1731 when Frederick Prince of Wales purchased the lease of Kew House from Samuel Molyneux, husband of Lady Elizabeth Capel (d. 1731). An inferior copy with some variations of Honthorst’s portrait, probably executed by an English artist during the seventeenth century, when the sitter’s fame was at its height.
