This beautiful perennial blooms from June to October with reddish-purple flowers. The height is approximately 75 cm. Penstemon 'Garnet' requires a spot in full sun with moist, not too poor soil. In winter, a snake's head should be protected against excessive rainfall, because this plant species absolutely does not like 'wet feet'. Penstemon 'Garnet', like the other varieties, is semi-evergreen and tolerates frosts down to -10 degrees C.
