Picasso didn't like it, so he painted right OVER it. It is fascinating, not only because of the mystery ... what does the painting underneath look like? But, also, Dora is two people here. On one side, neat, tidy and fresh. On the other, disheveled, worn-down, aged. The most powerful painting I have ever seen in person. I cried ....
