Did you know .... That the Battería de Castillitos and the Battería de Cenizas were built in the 1930s to protect the Bay of Cartagena? The military fort is equipped with two heavy Vickers-Armstrongs cannons with a range of almost 35 kilometers. The guns are still intact and remained in service until 1994. Apart from this, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the bays of Cartagena and Mazarron.
