Communication with those with dementia is different than any other form. Avoiding triggers and ways to diffuse situations can deescalte situations that seem threatening or scary to them.

I am so very thankful for all the tips, I feel better equipped and somewhat grounded when dealing with these problems with my loved ones.

Remember that Alzheimer’s causes progressive damage to cognitive functioning, and this is what creates the confusion and memory loss.
