This week we are still studying time. I searched everywhere for a simple game to use during our Math Workshop segment that worked with a.m. and p.m.. I gave up and made this. It's very simple: a map with a.m. and p.m. and 18 cards to cut out. The kids will read the selections and sort onto a.m. or p.m.. I also made a page that has two frames for a simple drawing of things you do in the am and pm. for my fast finishers. I used free worksheets that I found on the internet for the cards. Click…

I've got another classroom book to share. Last year I made a similar book about the concept of time with watches we made. Check it out here. I wasn't in the mood for watches this year and didn't really have time anyway. Instead each child held my big yellow clock. By the way, each of their times was different and matched Common Core standards for first grade. Enjoy!
