Commissioning ceremony for either the USS Akron or the USS Macon. These ridged airships, were flying aircraft carriers, that's the difference between them and blimps. Blimps were the K-Ships, the ZP Squadron. A big thank you to James Yarger, for the info.

WILLEM VAN GENK (1927-2005) | SELF-PORTRAIT | 1974 | He has created an imposant oeuvre, consisting of some 100 works on paper and board, plus about seventy trolleybuses made of cardboard and scrap material and one installation, «Arnhem Bus Station». His brillant, almost maniacal detailing is a striking feature in an oeuvre with multiple layers of meaning. Power in every form is a key aspect to his work. These are all forces conspiring to suppress « the ordinary man. »
