Zig Zag Stoel Gerrit Rietveld (Dutch, 1888–1964) ca. 1937-40. The Zig Zag chair is the epitome of the de Stijl ideals synthesizing form, function, and construction.
Rietveld designed the Zig-Zag Chair in 1934 and started the design of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, which was finished after his death.
