I hate traveling but I had NO CLUE how much worse it would be with kids!  . We recently did a 10 hour drive with our two-year-old and it wasn't pretty. There were lots of tears and meltdowns (both me obviously) but we survived! .  Now we're planning our 2019 calendar and trying to decide how much travel we're willing to do this year.  . I've had a nasty cold/virus all week that's left me exhausted - yesterday I fell asleep HARD on the couch while my toddler was quietly playing. She woke me up an hour later by sticking a Sharpie (with a cap!) in my face. . That fear of what she could have done was like having cold water thrown in my face.
