a stack of wooden shelves sitting on top of a white floor next to a wall
Rare iconic Dutch wall unit designed by Willlem Lutjens in the 1950s
The birch-bent plywood and teak veneered planks are connected by solid birch uprights. The refined curved ends have made this a famous design. For example, you can place a number of larger objects on the two large lower shelves. These shelves are also deeper than the smaller top two and provide a very stable construction. More so even if it is detached from the wall. Due to the shadow effect, this item also creates an extra dimension. We see this clearly when it is positioned against the wall.
