I thought I would create a page and just post the anchor charts I have used! I will add new ones as I use them. I will probably change them...
Mrs. T's First Grade came up with this awesome game to make spelling fun! "2 player game, each player inserts his word list in spaces going across (one letter per box). Players take turns guessing coordinates. If they miss, they mark it on their board. If they hit a letter, they keep guessing until they miss. If they sink a word, the player marks it off of his list. The goal of the game is to sink all of your opponent's words." Visit Mrs. T for a free printable!

In my class we have been working on inferring for a couple weeks. This week we had a great time making inferences using poetry. The class LOVED it...and so did I! Really? That has become our new catch phrase in my class this year. I suppose it is inevitable since I use that word often all of the time. I just have to shake my head and laugh about it when I hear a student say it. At this point in the year, I honestly do not even have a chance to get the word in my brain before one of my students have already uttered it in some sarcastic tone.
