The Friden Flexo writer. There is a paper tape reader on the left and a paper tape punch in front of it. The paper tape reader read a program on a paper tape loop which controlled the tabs and carriage returns for the continuous pre-printed forms which were typed by the operator. The information (sales data) entered on the form would also be punched onto paper tape. The spools of paper tape would eventually be input to the Honeywell 400 mainframe.
