World’s Longest Range eBike? FUELL Flluid-2 & Flluid-3 Include VALEO Motor + Predictive Shifting

Expanding upon their initial Flluid-1 ebike, FUELL has just announced two new models – The Flluid-2, claiming to offer the world’s longest range, and the Flluid-3. FUELL’s designs are overseen by their CTO Erik Buell, who is a former Harley Davidson engineer and founder of the BUELL Motorcycle Company. With the aim to get people out of cars (and even off motorcycles), FUELL has designed ebikes that provide long ranges and simplicity for the rider.

Cane Creek Cycling Components brought back its El Platino rim eeBrakes “by popular demand.” The limited edition kit punches at a lighter weight than most competitors, at a claimed 85.3 grams (front) and 83.7 grams (rear). CSG Files Patent for Wild-Looking eBike Wheel with Batteries In the Rim

A recent patent from Cycling Sports Group details a new “Bicycle Power System” wherein a string of battery cells are located inside the circumference of the rim of a rear wheel and configured to a hub drive motor to provide pedal-assistance. The system places all the necessary components for electronic pedal-assist inside the rear wheel, offering up a way to, theoretically, convert any bike to an eBike.
