The Old Post Office on Main St in South Windsor CT was recreated by Library Friends for the 2011 Gingerbread Festival at the Wood Memorial Library. Built in 1757-1770, this building was a stop along the Pony Express Route between New York & Boston. As the oldest continuously running post office, it was also formerly known as the East Windsor Hill Post Office. (The Town of South Windsor incorporated as a separate municipality in 1845.)
