London’s oldest statue, c.1372 : This is King Alfred the Great (871-899) in Trinity Church Square, Southwark. The statue was moved to the Square in 1822 when it was build and laid out from Westminster Hall. It had been at Westminster since 1372.

Rollo (Gange-Rolv Ragnvaldsson) West Norwegian Viking chieftain. Parents: Ragnvald Mørejarl og Hild Rolvsdatter. September 25, 1911 in the town park in Ålesund during a major event unveiled a statue of Rollo/Gange-Rolv. The statue was a gift to the city of Ålesund from Rouen in Normandy. It is a bronze replica of the original statue in marble dating back to 1863, which stands outside the cathedral in Rouen.
