lining up sentiments with the MISTI can be hard, the grid is either on the door or underneath the image, I use the acetate with grid a lot, but I find this small triangle ruler works great, esp with cut up sentiments or small ones like this. You use the straight edge on the side of the MISTI and the other straight side for the sentiment, or stamp image, you slide the ruler up and down the side to find your spot! then pick the stamp(s) up with your door and remove ruler
homemade enamel dots, Enamel dots can be rather bulky, not good through the mail. These are punched out shapes, stuck one gluedots (just leave them on the sheet) colored with markers and then topped with glossy accents. once dried they are nice and shiny and have a bit of dimension to them. if you have coloured cardstock that coordinates with your project no need to color, so even easier, try patterned paper ans use up scraps
personalized distress mini ink holders/tins. saw this idea on Youtube, sorry can't remember who it was, she also did some coloring with alcohol inks, which i loved! but i don't have any alcohol inks. the colored washi tape will tell you which colours are inside whilst stacked up on the shelf. great idea, so simple and free as we all have washi tape...right?
home made mini blender for distress inks. Today i finally got some mini round ink blender foams, but the store didn't have the handle, would take 2 weeks....i had some sticky back velcro dots, found an item (glue stick) of the same size or there abouts and made my own handle, works great!
this applicator was my first try out, broomstick piece, two velcro sticky dots on each end to take the mini blending foams, would work better if the wood stick were bigger...but see my other post for the, if i say so myself, brilliant sollution lol http://www.pinterest.com/pin/470415123551603779/
