It will focus all of its energy on creating new clones of itself which come in the form of runners. If the runners are able to touch the soil, they will push out roots and create an entirely new plant. This is great if you want additional strawberry plants. But you should still cut the tie between the mother plant and all of the clones once they’re established. I got sidetracked with other garden projects and forgot to maintain my strawberry beds. Before I knew it, I had over 100 runners and about 50 viable clones that the plant had produced. I cut all of them and I’m trying to pot some of the runners that I ended up with. These will make great gifts for friends and family that love to garden, or I can expand my strawberry beds. 🍓❤️ #strawberry #strawberryplant #growingstrawberries #growfruit #growyourown #growyourownfood #growtherebellion #beginnergardener #beginnergardening #gardeningforbeginners #gardeningtips #strawberrypicking #homeonlibertyhill #homesteadlife #homesteadersofamerica #homesteading #homesteadlife #selfsufficient #selfreliance #selfreliant #backyardgarden #backyardgardening #backyardgardener #backyardfarm | Home on Liberty Hill | Facebook
