This project was created to help families focus on God as the Giver of the original Gift of Christmas - Jesus, our Savior - as they participate in the tradition of exchanging gifts for Christmas. As cards with the verses from Luke 2: 1-20 are passed out and read by all, Jesus is honored as the reason for celebrating this tradition. Words to help with gathering together, explanation, and a closing prayer are also included.

This Advent calendar can be used for a year having 24 or 25 days in the Advent season. There are 24 spaces which might include Christmas Day; other options would be using the star in the center for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
