The Amcotts Moor Woman was found in Lincolnshire, England, in 1747. She was perfectly preserved, as bog bodies often are. Unearthed long before the modern era of scientific inquiry into and preservation of bog bodies, the only remnant of Amcotts Moor Woman is now her left shoe. From just this scrap of leather you see, archaeologists have deduced that she lived between 200 and 400 CE.
