life of our sins
The priests’ partaking of the sin offering to bear the iniquity of the people signifies that we, the New Testament priests, partake of Christ as the believers’ sin offering in the sense of participating in Christ’s life, the life that bears others’ sins, as our life supply that we may be able to bear the problems of God’s people. The rich enjoyment of Christ as our sin offering in the church life enables us to minister Christ to the believers as the life that deals with sin, that they may deal w
“O God our King, by the resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ on the first day of the week, you conquered sin, put death to flight, and gave us the hope of everlasting life: Redeem all our days by this victory; forgive our sins, banish our fears, make us bold to praise you and to do your will; and make us strong to wait for the consummation of your kingdom on the last great Day; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.” #morningprayer #lordsday #BCP #Sunday
Nothing Happens in a Vacuum Everything we do affects every part of our life. Years of being faithful and always doing the right thing can be destroyed in a moment of bad judgment. In fact, God makes it clear in this passage that our sins WILL find us out. It's not a question of 'if' but 'when.'Commit your actions to God this morning and pray that He would help you to understand and have a healthy 'fear' of the Lord.
Happy Christmas Eve! Along with his famous novella "A Christmas Carol," Charles Dickens also handwrote a small booklet entitled "The Life of Our Lord" for his children, which remained unpublished until they had all died. In its pages, he reminded them that, if we "remember the life and lessons of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and try to act up to them, we may confidently hope that God will forgive us our sins and mistakes, and enable us to live and die in peace." May we always heed such wise counsel!
We live in a world cursed by sin. Because of this, everyone encounters serious problems in their lives, but Christians must deal with unique challenges as well. In God’s Solutions to Life’s Problems, the Macks argue that we are not doomed to a life of failure. Instead of making excuses, we can accept God’s diagnosis of our condition and work to change it. With discipline and dedication to God’s Word and to prayer, we can flee temptation and break free of the patterns of sin in our lives.
As a Christian, we are saved from our sins because we trust in Jesus as Savior, who died on the cross for our sins. We are saved by grace through faith in Christ. As a true disciple we take up our own cross, daily, and follow and walk the way of the cross – the way Jesus did. Not only do we hear the Word - we must apply and do the Word. Christians have to identify with Jesus’ surrender, His sacrifice and His suffering. We cannot be carnal Christians – Jesus must be on the throne of our lives -
“The #LORD is so gentle and patient with us as we lay hold of salvation that is only found in Him. As we struggle with our sin, and wrestle to break free from the clutches of the enemy, #Jesus softly whispers, “Trust in Me, I will set you free.” #JacquelineMaddison 😇 #life #truth #quotes
