Hotel Pariz | Prague
Built in 1904 by architect Jan Vejrych, the hotel has retained its distinctly Art Nouveau character, including the interiors (originally by Antonín Pfeiffer), which offer vaulted ceilings in the lobby to the scattered assembly of golden statues and dark wooden furnishings. The paintings in the corridors and rooms – most of them originals – are from the personal collection of the Brandejs family that own the building, as are the cinematic photos in the lobby.
Art Nouveau Palace Hotel | Prague
As the name suggests, the hotel is built and furnished in classic Art Nouveau style, with plenty of brass, chandeliers and angular patterns. It has maintained a sophisticated air since opening in 1909, noticeable immediately in the hexagonal lobby with its sculpture installation and mirrored ceiling, but also throughout the corridors, which are dotted with classic turn of the century paintings.
