A view of the main PTT post office of Amsterdam at the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal. The main post office was built between 1895 and is the most monumental work by architect C. Peters in his very personal mix style of neo-Gothic and neo-renaissance.
1957. A view of the Leidseplein in Amsterdam during rush hour on a rainy day. The Leidseplein is a square located at the southwest side of the main canal area. It is, and has been for decades, a busy meeting place and nightlife area. Today, foot and bike travel passes through the square and car access is limited. The Stadsschouwburg and the nearby American Hotel, are the most notable architectural landmarks on the square. #amsterdam #1957 #Leidseplein
