The first US outpost of the Aussie cycle company is airy and industrial, with concrete and brick floors and exposed beam ceilings—the perfect backdrop for Deus' custom-built motorcycles, Temple of Enthusiasm surf boards and Deus-brand hoodies, denim, tees and jackets.

"The design for the shop comes from an attempt to mix the softness of raw salvaged wood with the sharpness of modern design," says Rosen. "It's similar to the way Saturdays designs clothing—we take the softness of the beach and the feeling of the early days of surf culture and infuse it with the modern design elements of New York City fashion."
