Traditional Polish Vegetable Salad (Sałatka jarzynowa) – delicious, rich salad (the perfect side dish) with potatoes, eggs, pickles, carrots, turnip, celery root, peas and mayonnaise. Sometimes mustard and yogurt are added. Vegetarian. Perfect for a party, family gatherings and/or potlucks.

Dreamy & Spicy Pink Pasta Sauce
Ingredients: 1 lb rigatoni pasta 2 tbsp olive oil 2 tbsp butter 1 small shallot, finely minced 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes 1/4 cup tomato paste 1/4 cup vodka 1 cup heavy cream 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Fresh basil, for garnish Instructions: Cook pasta al dente. Reserve 1 cup of the starchy water before draining. In a skillet, sauté the shallot in butter and oil until soft. Stir in garlic and red pepper flakes, then add tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes until it darkens. Pour in vodka and let it bubble, then lower heat and stir in heavy cream until the sauce is smooth and pink. Add the cooked pasta, Parmesan, and a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss until the sauce is glossy and clings to the pasta. Serve topped with fresh basil.
