Charles Lindbergh (1902-1974) was an American pilot and the first man to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.Lindbergh's solo transatlantic flight in 1927 made him one of America's early celebrity heroes. He received a New York ticker-tape parade, and newspapers breathlessly covered his every move. I chose this photo because it shows his success as a pilot.
