31-Aug-2015: Ma Mère Speciale by Brouwerij De Leite. A sour, Belgian Pale Ale from Ruddervoorde, Belgium. A beer made special by the brewer as a surprise for the 80th birthday of his mother. There may have been a slight infection in this batch, but it was still enjoyable, and with the story to go along with it! #ottbeerdiary #ebbc15

Day 143: And did it stop raining? Did it ********! What a washout long weekend this is turning out to be – but never mind, at least we are indoors… Hit the gym for what felt like a near-cardiac arrest experience before coming back to my senses and having a beer. Off out for dinner which was a bit of a treat – but since I’d planned to be on the wine I got the daily beer chore out of the way first… The Beer: Name: Flor de la vida Pale Ale Producer: Edge Brewing of Barcelona Alcohol content…

Day 11: Today – in beer terms – I took a trip back to Chicago and in fact to the start of my experiences with American craft beer. In 2012 I visited my first US brewery, Goose Island. What a place to begin…I returned last year and 312 remains a big favourite. It tastes even better from my Berghoff’s glass, a souvenir from the summer. It’s good that 312 can be purchased from several supermarkets here in Trondheim, despite the obviously ridiculous price...312 Urban Wheat Ale from Goose Island
