Henry VIII & his wives ~ finally and exhaustively! All we have to add is that these three Queens were relatives ( Boleyn, Howard, Parr), all these three could be beheaded (Parr was very close to execution and murder), all these three were, probably, the most beloved wives of Henry VIII of England.

After Henry took his dead brother Arthur's bride the foundations were laid for one of the most spectacular reigns in English history. He was the perfect Renaissance prince, but his first wife Katherine of Aragon's failure to produce a male heir brought out his darker side and led to his dismantling of the established church in England. By the time of his death, he had married six times.

Testoon of Henry VIII. The forerunner of the shilling, the testoon, was produced in extremely small quantities, probably around 1489, and the fact that there are only three known dies for this issue shows that the coins were not made for general circulation. They were probably trial pieces or patterns. The testoon was struck in quantity during the last part of the reign of Henry VIII, with The Tower, Southwark, and Bristol mints producing testoons in 1544–1551.

Henry VIII is buried in St. George's Chapel at Windosr Castle, not in Westminster Abbey (where one might expect). Jane Seymour is buried with him.
