Remove Wallpaper border Start by spraying the lower edge of the border with warm water and let it soak a while. Then use a plastic scraper to gently pry the paper from the wall. Try a clothes steamer. Steam one section at a time until the adhesive loosens, then strip the paper off. Always work from the bottom up. On borders that won't budge, dampen with a bit of white or cider vinegar use a commercial wallpaper remover, which contains special enzymes that dissolve the paste.
