The over-all look of this space is too modern for me (chairs, light fixture etc.) but something about it is very appealing and I keep coming back to it. I like the neutral color pallet, the wainscoting and the floating shelves. I like the neutral, braided rug. I like the plant, the little task lamp, and the sense that this is a multipurpose, family space.
Tineke Triggs designed a room for a young pre-teen artist. Using paint as her inspiration, Triggs splattered the ceiling with color, chose a rug that looks like a watercolor painting and designed a desk to look like dripping paint. Clever storage tip: Triggs affixed mason jars to a piece of wood and hung it over the desk.
