19-Aug-2015: Neuzebier Tripel Bruin by Brouwerij Anders! Much more bitter and less sweet than I expected from a brown tripel. Added sugar listed as an ingredient, but the sweetness is tempered. #ottbeerdiary

5-Apr-2015 : Springtij by Texelse Bierbrouwerij. Had this Maibock both on draft and from bottle. I think I liked the draft better on this one. More spice notes came out from the tap. #ottbeerdiary

11-Aug-2015: The Living End (Bourbon Barrel) by Buxton Brewery. Very nice (once it warmed up a little). Dark coffee. Caramel and vanilla. Some chocolate. All that dark stuff. A wee bit boozey on the aftertaste. But still lovely. #ottbeerdiary

Day 287:Woke up in Nuremberg to a cold but clear day. After breakfast we met our local guides at a historic bratwurst restaurant. Here we saw the sausage-making process in person down in the basement. These turned out to be the best of the wurst. For a change we had sushi for dinner – but there was even bratwurst sushi too…The Beer:Rotbier from Hausbrauerei Altstadthof of Nuremberg, Germany. This was a first – apparently the strong red colour comes from the malt and is natural – the beer is great

17-Dec-2015: Spéciale Fêtes by Brasserie Saint-Monon. A 7.5% Winter Warmer. Dark and fruity. A bit sweet. Some spices. Only 7.5%, but seems like the alcohol carries this one a little. #ottbeerdiary #ottadvent15

25-Jul-2015 : Koblenzer Pils by Koblenzer Brauerei. It was extremely hard to find any craft beer in town last night. Had hoped for something to unseat this, a decent, basic, Pilsner as the beer of the day. But nothing else new crossed my path! #ottbeerdiary
