Two bodies of water merging in the Gulf of Alaska. It is a result of the melting glaciers being composed of fresh water, while the ocean has a higher percentage of salt. The two bodies of water have different densities, therefore making it difficult to mix.

Skagen is the northernmost point of Denmark, where the Baltic and North Seas meet. The two opposing tides in this place cannot merge because they have different densities.
