An American silversmith and eyeglass maker, this patriot is best known for his "midnight ride" on Aril 18, 1775. He rode his horse to Lexington to alert colonists that British troops were on the march. Revere was able to alert the other patriots so they would be prepared for the start of the American Revolution.
