"Technology Tickets" Each Sunday give the kids 10 tickets. Each ticket = 30 minutes of television, computer, etc. Tickets can be used consecutively, but when they are out they are out for the week. They lose tickets for talking back, fighting, etc.

reward ticket for completing chores.  I'm a fan of extrinsic motivators in young children. [psychologists suggest that semi-random reward patterns teach kids to do something to get it done, whereas constant rewards (i.e., bribes) teach them how to do something for the prize. This is a nice way to teach kids that satisfying feeling from just checking things off the ol' To-Do List!]
