A magnificent and exceptionly rare Russian silver gilt and shaded champleve enamel tea caddy by Ivan Khlebnikov, Moscow, 1896-1908. The six, cylindrical lobed sides beautifully decorated in various alternating multi-color scrolling floral and foliate motifs against a matte gilt ground, the double-domed lid similarly worked with floral designs and paisley motifs between stylized pineapples.
