An entry from Emilialua

joilieder: I love weeping willows and their canopies.  They’re the best to read or sleep under on a warm sunny day.  You feel like you’re in your own little world and safe from everything.  I know, I have an active imagination.

Love! My favourite tree... I so so want a weeping willow in my backyard... I want to hide under the leafy canopy and dream...

"Walking into Reflection Garden made me feel as if I was walking into a church. I hushed my voice when I spoke to others nearby. A sense of quiet and calm fell over me as the light slipped in through the tops of the trees like light filtering through stained glass windows. The single bench felt more like a pew where one could give thanks to the ever-wonderful Spirit of nature."

What a pity every child couldn't learn to read under a willow tree... Elizabeth George Speare November 21, 1908: American children's book writer Elizabeth George Speare was born in Massachusetts, 105 years ago today. Most of her historical novels, like The Witch of Blackbird Pond, are set in her native New England.

"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...and he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper." Psalms 1:1-3
