This is one of my ALL-TIME favorite student activities! This packet includes:-a letter (written by Mr. Turkey) to send home to parents-a template of Mr. Turkey to print and copy for each student-page of photographs of previously disguised turkeys to print or email-ideas for turkey disguises-paper for extending the project into a drawing/writing activity.
In this project, students will work with their family to disguise a turkey to prevent him/her from getting eaten for Thanksgiving! Once they return the disguised turkey, they will complete a writing assignment. I've done this activity with my students for years, and the students and parents LOVE it!
