A zorse is a cross between a female horse and a male zebra. These beautiful mammals look similar to a horse, however, they carry stripes throughout their body just like zebras. There are other zebroids that are similar hybrids to the zorse, including zedonks or zonkeys, which are a zebra mixed with a donkey, and the zony. The zorse is an all-around docile and friendly creature.

A horse with the most unusual markings I've ever seen. It doesn't quite look like a zebroid, a cross between a zebra and a horse. It looks more like a cross between a tiger and a horse ... which, of course, is impossible. But even if you ignore the stripes, it has an unusual color, going from a nearly black back to a lighter belly and legs. An odd horse indeed!

It’s not just puggles and schnoodles monopolizing the hybrid animal market. Three weeks ago, a zebra/horse hybrid made its way to the Stukenbrock safari park from Italy. The Zebroid or Zorse’s mother is a zebra and her father is a horse. She probably won’t be able to reproduce herself since equine hybrids are infertile.People have been cross-breeding zebras and horses since colonial times, but Eclyse’s coloring is unusual for such hybrids. She has über distinct makings.

"The Quagga was a plains zebra living in South Africa. The last Quagga was killed by hunters in 1878. This species was then added to the long list of extinct animal species. Fortunately, there was one specimen still alive at Artis zoo [Amsterdam]. After its passing away on 12 August 1883, the Quagga disappeared forever from the Earth’s surface. The above print is now preserved in the zebra enclosure of that time."

Zony is the offspring of a zebra stallion and a Medium-sized pony mare. A zebroid (also zedonk, zorse, zebra mule, zonkey, and zebrule) is the offspring of any cross between a zebra and any other equine: essentially, a zebra hybrid.
