Woman of the Day: Zelda Fitzgerald, is often only referred to as F. Scott Fitzgerald’s wife. But she was so much more then that. She was an author in her own right, called the first American flapper, and a 1920’s icon. For all the video game nerds, Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Zelda, named the princess after her. She is most obviously timeless.
Zelda Fitzgerald is known to represent an image of strong, independent woman in the 1920's. She faced struggles to break free from her husband’s control and chart her own course, both as an artist and a woman which earned her a place as one of the leading female voices of the 1920's.
