How to celebrate Erev Shabbat?
When and how should we celebrate Shabbat? Traditionally, Shabbat is celebrated in the evening - on Erev Shabbat. The word "erev" is translated as "evening". Jews begin the countdown of a new day at sunset, using the words of the Torah - "So the evening and the morning were the first day." (Genesis 1: 5).
