Princess Diana wearing a Catherine Walker designed pearl, sequin and crystal embroidered Riechers lace dress at the fund raising gala for the Nina Hyde Centre for Breast Cancer Research in Washington, DC September, 1996. The embroidery was designed to emulate the subtlety of antique pearls. Catherine Walker since deceased, was recovering from breast cancer at the time. It's now 17 years since we lost our fave fashion princess.
