Candles in glass boxes - perfect combination of cozy and contemporary. Using flameless/electric candles for this would be a good idea to not have to worry about melting wax oozing into the bottom of the glass box and onto the other decorative objects
Cement floors, white brick, old windows, Clumsy mirrors behind lounge. I kind of like the idea of putting throws into a basket beside the lounge like that! Your house would have to be pretty neat so to avoid it looking like a laundry basket.

This hutch could go in a few different places. It could be the china cabinet in the dining room,a book case in the family room, or the hutch/cabinet in the kitchen eating area. I don't think I would change the colour.
