Bubbles you can catch and hold: takes a lot to pop them. 1 C distilled drinking water 1 Tablespoon dish soap 1 Teaspoon of glycerin (I ordered mine online) straw (this is just what I chose to blow the bubbles with, Im assuming you can use a typical bubble wand) 1 clean glove (or sock) - (this is to keep the bubble from popping) MIX ALL INGREDIENTS TOGETHER AND LET SIT FOR 24 HOURS. Blow and play!
Sock Monsters ... what a great craft to do with kids. It teaches sewing & recycling, it helps develope their imagination & creativity. Write a play, story or puppet show to go along with them. Add "wings" and a spray bottle of "Monster-B-Gone"--- water with a few drops of any good essential oil added; and give as a bedtime "Guardian Monster Protector"
i like this idea - but don't like marbles...why not cars or little people, etc. Children work with a partner to play. They need 1 sock and 5 flat floral marbles (the flat marbles work great for math manipulatives because they won’t roll away). One child places an amount of marbles into the sock. The other child reaches into the sock without peeking, counts the marbles by feeling them, and says the number. The children can then take the marbles out of the sock to see if the answer was correct.
Sensory Smelly Socks- mismatched, clean socks, and stuff them with cotton balls. Put cotton balls in each sock that have a different scent (you can use mint extract, lemon extract, banana extract, orange extract, maple extract, vanilla extract, coffee beans). Sew the end of each stuffed “smelly” sock and let the baby play with them. Describe the smells. (Toss in a bell, a plastic easter egg with beans, etc for added noise) sry pic is just sock rattle - couldn't find smelly sock pic
