Strategy: Teachers must design lesson plans that challenge each and every student, and that expand the intellectual strengths of all young adolescents. Frustrations can be heightened when these students (such as those in the formal operational stage) are not fully challenged, and instead "dumbed down" to the level of concrete operational students.
