From 1937 The Directoire influence is seen in the upper bias bodice section which laps at front and continues low at the back. A long scarf falls from the left shoulder, very Hollywood. Recently inspired by the 1930's Glamour fashion, I have been hovering over some gorgeous patters that are just screaming to me made up and taken out for a party ! This lovely dress combines the panels with pinkish beige ruffles for contrast and velvet ribbon for texture. Condition is pristine with no stains or holes to the rayon crepe fabric. There are very small holes in the sheer panels, see photo.
