Abandoned supermarket

This Coles Supermarket closed its doors forever in 2009. A few bits and pieces still lying around. Funny to see 2009 cigarette prices (cigarettes in Australia go up by approximately 10% each year). Slime on some of the floors and a lot of broken glass. Located in a small south eastern Australian country town, no one seems to know what to do with the derelict property.

This abandoned supermarket, that sits somewhere in regional Victoria, used to be known as 'Coles New World,' but is not a step back into an old world. Incredible photos show life in 00's.

We all know the story about the Fukushima nuclear accident. The earthquake on 11th March 2011 caused a massive tsunami that crippled the cooling systems at the Tokyo Electric Power Company's nuclear plant in Fukushima.

This mall in Illinois has only been abandoned for a few years, but footage of its empty interior paints a grim picture of future malls in the U.S.

Online shopping and a global pandemic have reduced several retail store chains to empty storefronts. But there are still ways for the last stores standing to survive.

Residents escaped towns surrounding the Fukushima nuclear plant which went into meltdown after being battered by giant waves in Japan. They are unlikely to be allowed to return for many years.

This was a fun image to do! It was a good exercise in set dressing, and an obvious homage to the fantastic The Last of Us.
