East Penn Impact on Instagram: "A V-Dribble is a fundamental ball handling skill that involves pushing the ball back & forth with a single hand.

Start in a basketball stance with the ball in either hand. Push the ball across your body as you would with a crossover, but instead of catching it with the other hand, use the hand you began with to push the ball back to the starting position. When done correctly, the ball will move in a "V" pattern. Make sure to work on this with both your dominant & non-dominant hands as shown here.

You can then progress to a "front-to-back" (or "push-pull" or "side-V") dribble. In this variation, the ball is still moving in a "V" pattern but instead of moving back & forth across your body, it's now moving from in front of you to behind you & vice versa.
