Boulonnais, nicknamed the White Marble Horse. A heavy draft breed known for its massive yet elegant appearance. From north France, the Boulonnais has a long and noble history. They almost became extinct after the World Wars; even today the breed is endangered. Programs are in effect to increase the population but, disturbing to me, one of its uses is as meat.

Zeus the Belgian Draft Horse is the largest horse in the world. He is 21 Hands Tall (7 feet) (2,13m) at the shoulder and approximately 3000 lbs ( 1361 kilo) ... they say iT takes 30lbs (13,61kg) of steel to make one shoe for The big boy.
