"I constructed these little birdhouses from durable cedar and painted each one differently," says Pearl Ditch of Imperial, Missouri. "My husband, Paul, then helped me secure them to sturdy posts, which I'd decorated by painting flowers up the sides. "I also added house numbers on each post—one is our address and the other three are for our married children—before securing them onto a cement slab in our yard.
