Photo Booth Castle for Highlands Kids: We wanted a photo-booth for our Summer Blast (VBS) promotion day. Our theme is more or less medieval, so I thought a castle might be fun. This is how I made Castle Kids.

Castle Torch craft

For my daughter's princess party, we created a castle tower for our condo entrance made from a large, flat piece of cardboard. The stone pattern was made with a sponge dipped in gray paint. The drawbridge was made from two long pieces of wood with cardboard strips attached across them (like a ladder). String was added to either side, so the bridge could be raised and lowered as guests arrived. Blue crepe paper served as the moat.

Even such ancient establishments as Windsor Castle must move with the times every now and then, but the swap from eiderdowns to duvets has prompted much chatter among the housemaids.

Wow what an entrance! Don't think it would work in our schools hallway.... but this is a dream entrance.
