Cat's eye nebula

Cat's eye nebula. Nebula is an instertellar cloud of dust, hydrogen, helium and other ionized gases.Cat' eye nebula located in the constellation Draco. Structurally, it is one of the most complex nebulae known. In the center of the Cat's Eye there is a bright and hot star; around 1000 years ago this star lost its outer envelope, producing the nebula.

The full beauty of the Cat's Eye Nebula (NGC 6543) is revealed in this new, detailed view from NASA's Hubble Space Telescope. The image from Hubble's Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) shows a bull's eye pattern of eleven or even more concentric rings, or shells, around the Cat's Eye.
